Today Vishnagar Sessions’ Court will hear bail application of three teachers who are accused in Dalit suicide case in Vadnagar, the native place of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. More than four and half months have passed since the death of Mahesh Chauhan, a mead day meal manager, the charge sheet has not been submitted in the court. This is how justice is delivered in Gujarat.
Yesterday, Ramesh, brother of the deceased told me on the telephone that he, too, wants to commit suicide and will write a letter to Gujarat government. I requested him not to take such a harsh step. Tomorrow he is coming to my home. Widow of deceased has been given a job in the same school, where her husband was harassed by the accused.
