These are five photographs of a spontaneous, historical, monumental movement in the Dalit resistance of India.
Throwing corpses of cows at the doors of collector office in Surendranagar and decorating government office with bones and horns of cows in Gondal and en masse applications for licenses of firearms in Morbi and protest gathering in Una just after the barbaric flogging of Dalits and a train was stopped at Ganapati Fatsar Area in Wadhwan of Surendranagar.
And I remind you, media didn't report these protests, nobody gave any call and called press conferences and yet Dalits of Gujarat created a huge movement.
It is only after these events some people came forward to make it an event and tried unsuccessfully to imitate it.
અહીં આપેલી પાંચ તસવીરો ભારતમાં દલિત પ્રતિરોધના ઇતિહાસમાં એક અભૂતપૂર્વ, સ્વયંભૂ અને પ્રચંડ આંદોલનની તસવીરો છે.
ઉનામાં દલિતોને સાંકળે બાંધીને મારવાના જંગલી કૃત્ય પછી બીજા જ દિવસે ઉનામાં થયેલું જંગી વિરોધ પ્રદર્શન, સુરેન્દ્રનગરની કલેક્ટર કચેરીના દરવાજે નંખાયા ગાયોના મૃતદેહો, ગોંડલમાં રીવોલ્વરોના પરવાના લેવા થયેલી સામૂહિક અરજીઓ અને સુરેન્દ્રનગરમાં રોકવામાં આવી ચાલુ ટ્રેન.
હું તમને યાદ દેવડાવું કે આ વિરોધ આંદોલન અંગે મીડીયાએ એક શબ્દ લખ્યો ન હતો. કોઇએ આના માટે પ્રેસ કોન્ફરન્સ બોલાવી ન હતી. કેટલાક વીરલાઓએ આ અદ્ભુત કામો કર્યા હતા, જેમના નામો પણ આપણે જાણતા નથી.
કેટલાક લોકોએ આ સ્વયંભૂ આંદોલનની નિષ્ફળ નકલ કરવાનો પ્રયાસ કર્યો હતો.
