Attended a lot of marriages.
But this one is the special one...
A few days back at a village called Padamala, 15 km distance from Vadodara city during a marriage procession of groom belonged to schedule caste was attacked for playing DJ during the marriage...
Attackers pelted stones at guests who were there to attend marriage...
Goons with hypocrite Orthodox mentality couldn't digest that somebody from lower background had the Audacity to enjoy freedom equal to them.
And then the whole chaos created by goons took village under disturbance and stress...
Today there was another marriage from the same community, and there was a chance of a repetition of the same incident.
Whole marriage proceeding of the groom was handled under police protection...I also attended a marriage with my friends as to extend our moral support to them.
It is so unfortunate that after 70 years of independence still there are parts of India we have to provide police protection to someone just merely because one has fear of getting attacked during the marriage...Can a groom or bride enjoy their marriage with happiness in such situation?
Thank you police department for putting their efforts and allowing marriage procession to compete without any disruption. Also, thank you those progressive and intellectual people who despite belonging to opposite community supported the function
I will be happy when a day will come where no community would have hatred for other and equality will be established.
